About 5 years ago the quality was even better! We were regular guests for many years, but at some point there was a change of ownership, which in our opinion was clearly felt. We have tried 3 more times since then, but we were disappointed. It may be that those involved make an effort and the food tastes good, but it is no longer as special and of high quality as it once was.

Our steak was good! , BUT only two stars from me BECAUSE ..... you are pretty lifted for the performance you deliver. * Steak without side dish € 23 * each supplement costs between 4 & 5 € extra * A bottle of wine that is available from the local winemaker for € 6 costs € 24.

This place has a fantastic atmosphere. The service is very friendly and courteous. One can only recommend the food, it is so delicious. We will be back.

Nice atmosphere in the cellar vault of the castle. The food is more expensive than you are used to but it is definitely worth it.

Very nice ambience, friendly staff, high quality, tasty food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately for vegetarians and vegans it gets pretty monotonous.

Beautiful castle cellar, right in the castle. Hearty, good cuisine (where else is there real Palatinate butcher soup). And the dessert, homemade ice cream and a wonderful cinnamon waffle, was even more impressive. We'll definitely be back.

Very good service and the food comes highly recommended too. I can particularly recommend the location for celebrations or dates. The whole concept is really well thought out. Had many nice evenings here.

Unfortunately I can only give one star here, because we weren't even served. At the reception it was said that all tables were occupied equally! Friday evening at half past eight? OK. Or was it because we were cyclists who just wanted to drink something? By the way, there were still eight tables free that weren't even set. If I could give zero, it would be deserved.

The five of us dined on a Sunday afternoon. All dishes (fillet, rump steaks, tornado, mixed sausages) plus side dishes were of high quality and very well prepared. Another highlight was the lavender ice cream on a fruit sauce. The hygiene rules are implemented very well in the restaurant due to Corona. There is hand disinfectant at the entrance as well as in the toilets, the menus are laminated, so washable, and the friendly wait staff wear their mouth and nose protection according to the regulations.

There were eight there tonight. Great service, really tasty food and fair prices. We felt very comfortable and are happy to recommend this restaurant.

The Burgschänke was our regular pub for December 23 for many years. The food was always great, the service fluctuating but all in all good. Unfortunately we were in front of closed doors last year despite a reservation. There was no sign or anything like that. Unfortunately, this ended a tradition for us.

Awesome service and fantastik food! The steak that I had the illustrious pleasure to expierience was phenominally succulent and flavorful..great resturant.

Had a great Sunday afternoon meal here. Food was delicious and was served pretty fast. Definitely recommend you get the bread with curry butter! Service was also outstanding. This place has character!

If you love meat, this is the place for you! The food was very good, the salad was crisp and the ingredients fresh. The meat was cooked just right and very juicy. The desserts were all very good and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Parking spaces are directly at the castle. Prices were reasonable for the quantity and quality. I highly recommend it!
